Our Mission and Goals

Rhode Island Allied Health & Safety Institute (RIAHSI) training program offerings are consistent with the institution’s stated mission and purpose for being. RIAHSI’s primary purpose for being and its mission is based on its relative degree of emphasis on academic instruction and public service. Our staff is certified to teach online and in person nursing assistant programs and approved to operate by the Rhode Island Department of Health, Board of Nursing Assistant since April, 2012.

Institutional Goals

  • Prepare students to be competitively employed as a certified nursing assistant / home health aide.
  • Prepare students to be successful in moving up the healthcare career ladder to associate and baccalaureate programs in Allied Health Programs.
  • Provide students with basic academic skills.
  • Provide district employers with programs and services to sustain a quality workforce.
  • Provide lifelong learning opportunities.
  • Prepare students and employees to learn, live, and work in a globally diverse society.
  • Prepare students and employees to be technologically and English language literate and fluent.
  • Provide affordable and flexible access to programs, services and appropriate technology.
  • Provide appropriate service and support to meet the needs of students, employees, and other stakeholders.

SCHOOL HISTORY, ACCREDITATION, & OWNERSHIP

RI Allied Health & Safety Institute (RIAHSI) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable, trainings, educational, community-based wellness learning organization, owned and operated by Ada Ezeama, located in Providence, Rhode Island. Rhode Island Allied Health & Safety Institute is dedicated to excellence in allied health and nursing education. RIAHSI opened its doors to prospective students on April 12, 2012 and was certified by RI Department of Health. NATP 00119 and Full On-Line Hybrid NATP 00165. 

 

Ada Ezeama, the founder who serves as the Chief Administrator, is a registered nurse with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (“BSN”) 2001, and a Master of Science degree in nursing (“MSN”) from Yale University with a specialty in management, policy & leadership 2010, and certificate in Clinical Nursing Education 2019, and Basic Life Support Instructor, 2006.

 

 

Ada Ezeama has over 24 years’ experience in nursing. She began her career as a Registered nurse working in a variety of nursing sectors and has held leadership positions in different areas  of nursing, as well as educating and mentoring nurses throughout her career. Her passion is to nurture, educate and groom new healthcare professionals and nurses. Through her vision, dedication, and strong entrepreneurship, RI Allied Health & Safety Institute (RIAHSI) was built.
