Home Health Aide/Personal Care Assistant Course

Personal Care Aides (PCAs) primarily assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing,
and meal preparation, but do not perform medical tasks. In contrast, Home Health Aides (HHAs)
are trained to assist with medical-related tasks such as medication administration and monitoring
vital signs. Uncredentialed individuals may provide homemaking services but are not permitted to
perform direct patient care tasks.
Asynchronized Online Hybrid learners’ interactive activities and progress will be monitored
weekly (every Wednesday) by Cinematic Health Progress Report.
Students will be evaluated through a combination of theoretical exams, practical skill assessments,
and clinical performance reviews. For example, students will undergo a mid-term skills assessment
where they will be required to demonstrate core competencies such as bed bath, oral care, feeding,
elimination care, transfer techniques, etc
